Biographical Notes:

On a night cross-country exercise, an Airspeed Oxford took of from RNZAF Wigram and in deteriorating weather, flew low under cloud and crashed, out of control, between Eyreton and Clarkville. The other crew escaped, injured. Another aircraft was lost on the same exercise.
